I am posting this for NAU.

The School of Communication at Northern Arizona University has two Graduate Assistant (GA) positions for the 2011-2012 academic year to serve as faculty-supervised forensics assistants. These positions come with a full tuition waiver and a stipend of approximately $10,000.  Prior forensics experience is preferred; undergraduate coursework in speech communication/communication studies is preferred.  These GA positions require full-time
enrollment as a graduate student in a specific graduate degree program at NAU.  Successful completion of the first year of the GA position and the graduate program will result in consideration for re-appointment for a second year.

The MA in Applied Communication will consider all forensics GA applicants for admission into the MA program.  Applications should include (1) a statement of interest in the MA program, (2) a statement of interest in serving as a forensics GA, (3) a resume, (4) a writing sample, (5) three letters of recommendation, (6) undergraduate transcripts, and (7) results from the GRE.  For more information on the program and the required application materials, see http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/~rar/maac/

Those who wish to apply for the GA positions and admission into the MA in Applied Communication should contact Richard Rogers, Graduate Coordinator, for specific instructions regarding the application process.  Applicants will be accepted until April 1; later applications will be considered if the positions are unfilled.

Northern Arizona University has traditionally participated in NPDA and Lincoln-Douglas debate, as well as in a variety of individual events.
