My friend James Watson, a teacher at the high school, asked me to share this posting.

We are looking for a debate coach to start in January and set-up/run a brand new high-school debate program at my high school. I know you're well connected in the debate community so I thought you might be able to help me find someone...

Ideally looking for an enthusiastic recent graduate, but would definitely be willing to meet a mature current undergraduate with a lot of debate experience and good organizational skills.

The details are as follows:

Position:
Head Debate Coach

Description:
Set-up and run a high school debate program. Run "coaching" sessions/debate club twice a week, and plan and chaperone high-school debate competitions in the Atlanta area.  Applicant will need their own transportation (gas etc will be reimbursed), but will NOT be required to transport students.

Hours:
Part time, including 1 - 2 hours Tuesday late afternoon, 1 hour on Friday lunchtime, and time spent at debate competitions around the Atlanta area.

Start Date:
ASAP

Pay:
This is a paid position.  Pay to be determined by factors including education and experience.

Please forward all questions to jwatson@benfranklinacademy.org

Thanks!
James
