1)   We will use the TRPC and the 9 category judge placement system for one more year.

2)   We will us the “RKS 100 point scale,” though the TRPC only allows the assignment of up to 99 points

3)   We have published a scale (below) that we expect judges to use when assigning points on this scale.

4)   All ballots are due 2:45 from the published start time of the debate.

5)   Pairings for rounds 1 & 2 will be released at approximately 6pm on Friday.  The pairings will be posted in the new CEDA forums and distributed to coaches registered for the tournament at debateresults.com  If Edebate is working, the pairings will also be distributed there.

6)   Round 1 begins at 8am Saturday. The first two debates are preset and rounds 3-4 will be powered. Subsequent pairings will be available within 15 minutes of the receipt of the last ballot.

7)   Pairings for rounds 5 & 6 will be released at approximately 9pm on Saturday. Round 5 begins Sunday at 8am. Subsequent pairings will be available within 15 minutes of the receipt of the last ballot.

Cool   Full elim pairings, including judges and rooms, will be available as soon as reasonably possible after awards on Sunday.  Octos will begin Monday at 8am.  A full printed bracket will be available immediately following awards.

9)   In order to avoid any annoying judge substitutions, it is critical that you communicate any last minute changes in judge availability in rounds 1 & 2 due to sickness or travel delays to Dallas via phone 617-306-4514 and to me via email – Stefan.Bauschard@gmail.com before 5:30 on Friday.  If you can’t email me, please text me -- 781-775-0433.

10)   Starting in round 3, we will publish pairings that include the win-loss records of the teams.

11)   Tournament registration is from 9-10pm on Friday on the first floor of the Holiday Inn.

12)    All judges must be entered by 11pm ET on Tuesday, October 27th. Prefs will be activated by midnight and must by finalized by 1pm on Friday.

I look forward to see everyone in 10 days.  If there is anything else you want to know related to tabulation, email me and I’ll add the answer to the list.
