All,

Some young women in the Lincoln Douglas community have written a pledge, and as I understand it, are working on concrete proposals to confront, and address, issues of gender discrimination in debate. It is clear to me that the issue is NOT unique to a particular format of debate and hence a broader coalition might be in order.   Also, or those of you that are in the college community, it is not an issue that is only a “high school issue”.
