Hello!

I am a graduate student and coach at George Mason University, and I am conducting a study to better understand mutually preferred judging within the debate community.  Specifically, I am interested in the factors that debaters and coaches consider when determining how to rank judges.  I am also interested in the issue of the lack of representation of women and racial minorities in the judging pool.  No identifying information about you, your school, or the way that specific judges are rated by you will be collected.

The study will consist of telephone interviews with interested participants. If you have any questions, or you may be interested in participating, please contact me, Allison Harper, at aharper at gmu dot edu.

Sincerely,
Allison Harper
