Accepting Applications for Admission & Teaching Fellows and Assistants M.A. Communication Studies at California State University Fullerton

The M.A. program in Communication Studies in the Human Communication Studies Department at California State University, Fullerton is accepting applications for admission and Teaching Assistants for Fall 2014.

The Master of Arts Program in Communication Studies at Cal State Fullerton allows students to develop a broad understanding of Communication Studies as a discipline and an in-depth emphasis in an area of concentration, such as argumentation and persuasion, interpersonal, intercultural, and organizational communication. Our graduate students reflect the community of diversity at Cal State Fullerton, including international students and students of various ethnic backgrounds.

The Master of Arts in Communication Studies is designed for students who have an interest in and background for the study of communication theory and process. The degree is designed to give students broad exposure to the discipline and, at the same time, allow them to specialize in one area (i.e., argumentation and persuasion, intercultural communication, interpersonal communication, organizational communication, or rhetorical theory and criticism).

Teaching Fellows and Assistants have the opportunity to work with the nationally ranked Forensics programs. Opportunities include traveling nationally with the CEDA/NDT program, locally and regionally with the public forum and individual events teams. Qualified applicants may also have the opportunity to teach Introduction to Human Communication (HCOM 100) and/or Public Speaking (HCOM 102) as Teaching Fellows.

CSUF is located in Fullerton, California in northern Orange County.  The campus is minutes from Disneyland, approximately 30 minutes from Orange County beaches, and 45 minutes southeast from downtown Los Angeles.
