Coaches Poll...Let's Do It! If you are interested, simply send an excel document of the top 25 teams on your list, with #1 at the top. Send to wakedb8 at gmail dot com by October 21st. Any vote that does not have a diversity of argument styles and geographies represented may be discarded. Any coach may enter a ballot. Ties, less than 25 ranked teams, and multiple entries from one school all allowed.

Wohoo Debate!

Coaches Poll Results in attached Press Release. I am also willing to directly forward to school and local media outlets at individual directors request.
A couple have asked why have a poll?
1 - Press Options - For those who want to use it, this can serve as a catalyst for a newspaper article in local/school papers. Previously when I was at Kansas State University, we used the Coaches Poll to get a quality article in the school paper.
2 - Motivation - Don't like the results, get ready to prove the voters wrong by prepping harder. You are at the top; people will be coming for you, get ready. Perhaps I have been lucky, but while coaching at two very different schools, every time a coaches poll has been released it has motivated debaters to do more.
Congrats to Harvard on being the unanimously top-ranked team!

Have you done this before?  I'd be interested in seeing how the preseason/early Poll season favorites fared at the NDT.  I'm sure Loveland and McGuire would have been ranked #1 in the Fall of 1971.

Hello All,

It's time for another Coaches Poll!  Ballots due Friday December 4th.  Each school may submit up to 1 vote.  A school may rank its own teams for placeholder purposes.  Please send a list of 25 teams, no ties, to wakedb8 at gmail dot com

Thank you,
Justin
