Greg Myrberg, former coach of Westminster and debater at UNC, passed away suddenly last night.  His wife, Paula Nettles posted on facebook:

This is Paula Nettles, Greg's wife. I am posting to let all of you know that Greg passed away last night. Since his retirement, you, his facebook friends, had become his world, and I can't thank you enough for all the love and support you gave him. No plans have been made at this point. I'll update when I can.

This is incredibly sad news. It has been many years since I've seen you both, but I loved seeing his updates here and continuing to learn about art and music from his facebook posts. Forever the educator, and a truly wonderful human. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope you find peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for my loss. Greg was one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. I'm a bit stunned honestly.

Paula, so sorry to here about Greg's passing. I have such clear memories of him. Joking with him, learning from him, and of course fighting with him. All parts of a very unique whole! Our thoughts are with you.

Paula, Jim and I are so sorry to hear this sad news. My Dad always used to say that joy shared is twice the joy, grief shared half the grief. In that spirit we are sharing with you today. Much much love dear one. Melissa

My deepest sympathies. As you celebrate Greg's life, remember his love, wit and the music he shared with us. A life may pass, but a spirit never fades away. Blessings of love and peace.
