So this fall, for the first time in almost twenty years, I'm teaching argumentation. I'm confident I can read the literature, explain the concepts and grade the work, but the one thing I don't have is field-tested exercises or assignments, and I know from experience teaching other classes that you stumble across those almost by accident, or by magic, from teaching the class a lot.

So I'm betting a number of participants in this forum teach argumentation. If you have a class exercise or an assignment that you'll never give up, because it just works, I'd love to hear what it is. Share it here if you don't mind, and then a lot of other folks might benefit from it as well. Thanks in advance.
