Summer Ballot is Available - Due by July 17 @11:59pm CST

The summer ballot is out and voting is open for the resolution and two amendments. The ballot deadline is Wednesday, July 17 at 11:59pm CST. The results will be announced on Friday, July 19.

There are two amendments. They were put on the ballot via different means and, thus, require a different percentage of the vote to pass:
1.   Awards – Requires three-fourths of vote to pass
2.   Novice Eligibility – Requires two-thirds of vote to pass

The resolutions on the ballot are below. There are two *minor* changes from previous ones released:
1.   Resolution 3 – The order of the terms “space traffic management” and space-based solar” was switched in the list.
2.   Resolution 5 – The first comma was removed.

Resolution options on the ballot:

1.  The United States Federal Government should establish a national space policy substantially increasing its international space cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.

2. The United States Federal Government should establish a national space policy substantially increasing its international space cooperation with either the People’s Republic of China or the Russian Federation.

3.  The United States Federal Government should establish a national space policy substantially increasing its international space cooperation with the People’s Republic of China and/or the Russian Federation in one or more of the following areas:
•   arms control of space weapons;
•   exchange and management of space situational awareness information;
•   joint human spaceflight for deep space exploration;
•   planetary defense;
•   space traffic management;
•   space-based solar power.

4.  The United States Federal Government should establish a national space policy substantially increasing its international space cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of India, and/or the Russian Federation in the area of global space governance.

5. The United States Federal Government should establish a national space policy substantially increasing its international space cooperation with at least the People’s Republic of China and/or the Russian Federation, in the area of global space governance of one or more of the following:
•   arms control of space weapons;
•   exchange of space situational awareness information;
•   exploration and use of space resources;
•   planetary defense;
•   space traffic management.
