ADA Business Meeting
May 14, 2010
Harrisonburg, VA

The annual ADA business meeting will take place Friday, May 14, at Harrisonburg, VA.  There is a full agenda, including elections for all officers for two year terms beginning this fall.  We strongly encourage everyone to attend.  The meeting will be held in a conference room on the campus.
Mike Davis has secured rates at two hotels.

*  Comfort Inn ($80).  1440 E. Market St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.  Phone is  (540) 433-6066

*  Best Western ($54).  45 Burgess Road, Harrisonburg, VA, 22801-9731.   Phone is 540-433-6089.

The meeting will be held on the James Madison campus at the Conference Center.

There will be a golf outing on Thursday.  If you want to play, please email Mike Davis at davismk13@gmail.com.

If you have business to discuss, all proposed amendments must be submitted to Brent Brossmann (brossmann@jcu.edu) by April 30, 2010 (midnight EST).  Alternately, proposals may be posted to the ADA News section of the College Policy Debate Forums at cedadebate.org/forum.  The ADA News is found in the “organizational discussions.”

The ADA business meeting will be in Harrison Hall (Room 1290) at 9:00am. Please let me know if you are attending so I can have enough parking passes for everyone.

Thanks,
Mike

Are there any proposed rules changes on the ADA agenda?

The two rule changes proposed by Galloway on this site are the only rule changes that are on the agenda.
There will be significant discussions on a variety of topics: 1) changes to improve the national tournament; 2) a detailed topic discussion; 3) a discussion of ways to improve resolution of conduct complaints.
Additionally, we will select the ADA Nationals host for 2011 and hold elections for all positions.
