Title: reminder
Post by: dstrauss13 on September 14, 2017, 12:21:13 PM
as you all are filling out prefs for GSU:  I do, have, and will, unilaterally enforce out of context evidence as a voting issue regardless of whether it is an argument made by the debaters in the round.  In my mind it is a foundational component of the activity as I understand it. I do not care about intent and I do not care about prior knowledge.  They are literally irrelevant to me.  It does not matter whether I like you and it does not matter whether your coach is my friend.   You do not have to agree with my approach, but this is non-negotiable.  Comply, accept, or strike.

Question:  what about clipping? Same standard as context or only an issue if raised as an argument in the debate? Thanks.

Same standard.
