Timely Interventions editorial contact
« on: February 02, 2011, 10:21:00 PM »
I'll be at the Clay Fri-Mon, on the lookout for arguments and research angles that seem promising for translation into manuscripts suitable for submission to Timely Interventions, a new, peer-reviewed, online journal published by the University of Pittsburgh Press and co-sponsored by the American Forensic Association (see attached flyer).

If you,

  • Want to build your CV to strengthen a law or grad school application
  • Have a debate argument you feel is searching for wider audiences
  • Are interested in learning how to translate policy debate research into rigorous, accessible scholarship

I would be delighted to chat with you! Hopefully we can connect to work on a "concept brief" - a short, one-page document that lays out possible angles and logistics for your article idea.

For more on Timely Interventions and especially the logistics regarding how to take best take advantage of publication opportunities by yoking knowledge production to the tournament grid workflow and distributing labor through collaborative work groups, see the new article, "The Debate Authors Working Group Model for Collaborative Knowledge Production in Forensics Scholarship," Argumentation & Advocacy 47 (2010): 1-24. http://www.pitt.edu/~gordonm/JPubs/DAWGModel2010.pdf
