Pay Rate:    $24,000 (10-month position)

General Description of Job/Objectives:    
The assistant debate coach shall support the activities of the Debate Program, including traveling to 6-8 tournaments/semester, coaching, scouting, and judging at tournaments, contributing to the program's research and argument generation processes, driving students to and from competitions, working with students throughout the year in preparation for competitions, and assisting the debate coach and the director of debate with the administrative, curricular, and public outreach efforts of the program.  

Required Qualifications    
-Significant experience and involvement with intercollegiate policy debate as a competitor and/or coach.
-Safe driving record and valid driver's license.
-Significant familiarity with computer applications.
-Ability to conduct and teach sophisticated internet-based research.
-Familiarity with digital research production and paperless debate.  

Preferred Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree is desired, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
