One-year Lecturer in Rhetoric, full-time for the 2013-2014  academic year. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a one-year  appointment with no presumption of renewal. Minimum qualifications: M.A. in Communication or a closely related field with at least one year of experience teaching rhetoric at the college level. Candidates should demonstrate clear evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level. Preferred qualification: Ph.D. in Communication or closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate strong evidence of effective teaching at the college level and a willingness to mentor undergraduate students from diverse populations. Duties: teaching courses including, but not limited to, COM 2110 Argumentation and Debate, COM 2160 Contemporary Persuasive Campaigns and Movements, COM 2170 Persuasive Speaking, COM 4190 Rhetorical Criticism, COM 5330 Rhetoric of Visual Culture. The position has a 4-4 course teaching load with corresponding service responsibilities.
