As the incoming (Fall 2014) Director of Debate at Trinity University I am excited to post an announcement for the Assistant Director of debate position.

   The Department of Human Communication and Theatre invites applications for a full-time, term appointment position as Assistant Director of Debate beginning fall semester, 2014.  The position is renewable upon evaluation. We seek someone who will hold the M.A. degree and has had at least one year of intercollegiate debate coaching.  Responsibilities include: travel with the team to tournaments as a coach and judge; coordinate student work, practice debates, and speaking drills; help with research and completing files; and teach four undergraduate classes per year (6 contact hours per semester). Expectations include a strong commitment to teaching and to maintaining a competitive debate and speech activities program in policy debate.  Teaching experience at the university level and evidence of potential for direction of debate and speech activities are preferred.

Salary will be competitive.

I am excited to announce that Collin Roark will join Trinity Debate this upcoming fall as the Assistant Director of Debate. I look forward to working with him next year, and I am confident he will be a great addition to Trinity Debate.
