Head Policy Debate Coach Position @ Binghamton University
« on: April 15, 2014, 07:01:09 AM »
Binghamton University’s Speech & Debate Team is pleased to announce its search to hire a head policy debate coach for the upcoming 2014-2015 debate season.  The job entails coaching a diverse set of debaters at both the national and regional level.  This includes travel, research, and weekly practices scheduled to accommodate debaters’ academic needs.  In addition, the job requires teaching one University-wide debate course per semester.  The course consistently enrolls 32 students per semester and is designed to enable students to participate in a mock debate tournament over the course of the semester.

Compensation will be based upon experience and ability to work with the team on a consistent basis. We are ideally looking for someone who will be able to relocate to Binghamton instead of someone who can commute in once or twice a week.  The job requires at least a BA, although a MA or PhD is preferable.

Binghamton is an equal opportunity employer and doesn’t discriminate based upon race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity characteristic.

To apply please send a resume and at least two letters of recommendation to debate@binghamton.edu.  Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.  Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me for additional information.
