Hi everyone,
I wanted to update the information I circulated previously about the assistant debate coach position at Western Washington University. First, I recently learned we will be able to hire for two positions, each with identical qualifications, requirements, and pay.
Second, I wanted to clarify that the position comes with two different elements: a staff position for work related to debate team preparation, coaching, and travel; and a non-tenure track instructor position for teaching the undergraduate argumentation course. All total, the salary for the person who is hired is $40,000/year and includes benefits.
Third, I was advised by my chair to instruct applicants to apply for both jobs through the WWU hiring portal in order to expedite the selection and hiring of the applicant.
