Decriminalization is the winning controversy area for 2014-2015.
74 ballots were cast. Decriminalization won with 49 first-place votes. A list of schools that voted and vote totals are included.

Initial count of first-place votes:

Decriminalization: 21
Definitions: 10
Labor: 13
Poverty: 16
Russia: 14

The first-place votes for federal definitions were dropped and transferred and the totals were recalculated.

Second count of first-place votes:

Decriminalization: 27
Labor: 13
Poverty: 18
Russia: 15

The first-place votes for labor were dropped and transferred to the remaining choices. The third count of first-place votes:

Decriminalization: 32
Poverty: 22
Russia: 19

The first-place votes for Russia were dropped and transferred to the remaining choices. The final count of first-place votes:

Decriminalization: 49
Poverty: 23
