Just a reminder. Ballots are due by midnight tonight (May 12). You can find the ballot at: http://www.cedadebate.org/1314controversy.

You will need an account on the main CEDA site (not the forums). And, your account needs to be authorized to vote. Please do not wait until late tonight only to find out that there is a problem. I can correct the problem quickly.

The 2013-2014 Controversy ballot is now available. Ballots are due by midnight (central), Sunday, May 12.

Only CEDA member schools (2012-2013) are eligible to vote.
If you have trouble accessing the ballot, double-check that you are logged in. A few people are inadvertently logged out. Logging in again always seems to fix the problem. If you have trouble with the site, please email me.

Topic Committee Election Results

Thanks to everyone who agreed to stand for election and those schools that voted. 42 schools voted. A complete list follows. Congratulations to the following people who were elected.

There are two positions open for the topic committee: a graduate student position and an undergraduate student. Ballots are due by midnight, April 16. You must be a member of CEDA to vote.

CEDA Election Results

Thanks to those who agreed to stand for election. A list of the schools that voted is included. The following individuals were elected:

2nd VP: Kris Willis

West: Sarah Partlow-Lefevre

Both amendments passed. The nonprofit language amendment passes 57-2. The graduate student on the topic committee amendment passes 41-21.

CEDA Business Meeting

Two amendments are up for a vote at the business meeting. As a reminder, amendments must pass by a majority at the business meeting in order to be sent the membership for a vote.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 17, 3:30pm, Heron room (2nd floor, Swan Hotel).
If you cannot attend the meeting, you may submit a proxy form. The form can be emailed to any CEDA officer or turned in at the beginning of the meeting.
